Hello Everyone

I feel like I haven't left a post in forever. Thanks to everyone for all the best wishes on my new job. I feel very blessed to have a job especially in this economy but I was really blessed to get a job with such a great company. I feel a little overwhelmed right now there is so much to learn. It's a very fast paced environment. I just hope I catch on quick and my typing skills improve. I'm sure I will be ok once I get the hang of everything.

Well, still no word on Ray's SS. I have heard these things can take awhile but once again I don't have a lot of patience. I'm hoping they will reinstate him. If that all falls into place then maybe we can get us another place. We had to go by our storage shed yesterday to get me some more clothes and shoes for work. I actually got a little teary eyed. I miss my stuff so much. That may sound a little odd but to see everything you own boxed up is really heart wrenching. I know that God has a plan and I need to be patient.

I have so enjoyed seeing everyone's Americana decor. I am so jealous and impressed at what you all do with those little flags. I'm getting so many great ideas so keep them coming! I am still trying to read your blogs and I hope to post more often.

Hi Donna~ so glad to hear you like the new job:) I'm sure you'll catch on to everything quickly, but it does take time. I can totally understand your feelings about your things, and they are just material things, but still parts of our lives. Congrats again, I'm so happy for you:)

Hello Donna....so happy to hear from you. I have been wondering how the job is going. It's Friday night and I'll bet you are tired. Take it easy this weekend. Monday is another day.
I totally understand the feeling of seeing all of your things boxed up. My things are very precious to me, too. They have tons of memories associated with all of them.
Have a wonderful weekend.
Friends,
Susannah

So good to hear from you Donna. I'm sure everything will fall into place with the new job in no time.

We still have our storage unit too and I miss a lot of our stuff too. I keep hoping to get everything to this place so I can save the extra cash.

Have you tried contacting your local congressman/woman in regard to Ray's SS? I am convinced that if we hadn't, we would still be waiting. Its definately been a long 15 months here. I'm hoping he'll get the back pay soon, and I can find a part time job and then hopefully we can start to save toward our own place again too.

I still have you in my prayers. *hugs*

Debbie

I saw your treadle machine on someone's comment page and so came by. Do you actually use it? I had a time with mine and am nervous to try again. A friend tightened the belt and got it running smoothly.
God bless,
Kim

It's normal to be nervous. I was too when I went back to work earlier this year. You will do great! Hope you are having a great weekend!

Donna,

I have no doubt that things will get smoother for you at work this week. I have to admit that I am a bit impatient about Ray's SS myself! I want to see ya'll get your own place as you desire. Debbie might be on to something about contacting your congressman....since they don't seem to be getting in any kind of a hurry.

Well hang in there, Donna! I just emailed you back, by the way!

Have a great week!
Tammy

Donna,
I'm happy to hear that your job is going well. I'm sure it has to feel a little different trying to get started up again after the time you had off and in a new setting. You'll make it, though :) At least you realize how important this job is and are willing to work and make it work out. Far too many people take advantage of the fact that they have a job these days....Which is partly why I'm up so early for a change this summer. I couldn't sleep knowing my DH had to go to work and fire a guy today, a friend of his because they're just frankly tired of telling him....I think a few more will be headed out the door. But I kept telling Jer that there is no use letting these guys keep their jobs when there are people out there that would do anything to have one...

Anyway, keep yourself going, one day at a time and I'm sure in little time you will have a place of your own again :)

Have a great day!
