Hi everyone I hope we are all in agreement that we are ready for SPRING! The snow was pretty but it's way too cold. I'm ready for warmer temps. Seems hard to believe we are going to have temps in the high 60's this weekend. I say bring it on!!
Last week I posted about our pool and how we were taking it down. Well, last Friday I went and spoke to our Landlord about putting in our notice to move. Financially we were strapped and we were sinking fast! I started packing last week. You think you are ready for something like this until it's time. They were very nice and understanding. I told them we would be out by March 31. I came home and prepared myself for the changes that were about to occur. Saturday was a very busy morning. I had someone come by and pick up the sofa they bought from me. My sister came by with a load of dirt for the pool hole. My landlord also stopped by. She said her husband and herself were so sad about us moving she wanted to talk to me for a minute. I invited her in as I always do. She asked if we would leave up the deck and they would give us an extra month at no cost. She said if by the end of April things do not get better to come and talk with them. They will try to work with us so that Eleni can finish out the school year. I was so happy. I had to tell my sister because she wanted the deck but she was very understanding. I think that I should change my blog to Never So Simple Always So Blessed! I have been so stressed and upset about losing my job I didn't take the time to look at all the blessings we have received.
Now I have a question for you all. Lately I know I have been on edge and I usually over look things but this has been a bad week. I have had several people make comments that have really angered me. I sometimes wonder why people say the things they do or why they think they are better than you. Do you have friends or family like this? I think the older I get the more I realize who and what is important i my life.

Wow! What a blessing from your landlord! I agree, sometimes it is hard to see the blessings. I'll continue to remember you in prayer. Hope you have a good evening.
It sounds like you have wonderful, understanding landlords. We rented a house when my son was born from a woman who was separated from her husband, and one night when my son was 2 months old, HE shows up and says we have 30 days to get out, he's moving back in. We called her and asked what to do and she says " well I guess you'd better find a new place!" The stress of it all was horrendous! About people and thier comments, who knows..I've tried to figure that one out myself, people don't seem to have any compassion anymore.
You know, I think we should all change the titles of our blogs to "Always So Blessed!" I'll be the first to admit that I don't always appreciate God's blessings, but He truly is so good:) I'm so happy that you have a nice and understanding landlord that is willing to work with you! I will keep you all in my prayers!
Donna,
What a wonderful landlord you have! Enjoy that time there and hopefully by then, something will work out for you :) I know it's hard but look at the good side of everything, think positively and hang in there!
Oh, yes...many people say things that just surprise me!! Do they not think??? I would NEVER be like that. There are things that I think but I have learned to keep them in my head! Too bad others haven't figured it out!

Hi Donna,
That is so wonderful, what truly good people!! I don't care what anyone says, I beleive we get what we need, "WHEN we NEED it"! God always steps in ;)
I have been praying and praying and praying...seems like every night my prayer list gets longer and longer. I just hope this economy turns around soon...for all of us.
Have a wonderful day.

I am so happy your landlords are so giving and kind. I so hope you can work it out with them.
I am so sorry people are making thoughtless comments to you. I guess I am blessed because people don't talk to me that way. I would probably walk away, hang up of click delete if they did. I don't let anyone have that kind of power over me. LOL I am woman - hear me roar!! I love being over 50 - I swear it makes me stronger!!
Keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!
Donna,
This is so wonderful! That is definitely an answer to prayer...see! What a blessing!
I know what you mean about people sometimes...I really do try to think before saying something as in...would I want someone to say that to me or act like that..and if the answer is no...I shouldn't say it!

I just discovered your blog and wanted to say that I truly understand where your coming from. My DH and I have been having some pretty rough times and just when we thought all was lost, God blessed us with a wonderful landlord also. I look forward to reading more!
Take care, your family is in my thoughts and prayers.
